More images of Rainbow Six Parasite, the surrogate title for what was once Rainbow Six Quarantine, leaked online, showing an extraction mission starring the operative Ela.
As our friends at PC Gamer noted, YouTuber DBL Online uploaded the short clip after the Twitter user SkyLeaks posted the file online. The video was still live at the time of writing, but the previous leak from Parasite was quickly removed through a DMCA order, and this is likely to be too. Watch while you can.
This clip is much shorter than the one hour alpha test leak that appeared a few weeks ago, but if anything tells us more about Rainbow Six Parasite it really works. It stars the operative Ela, which is struggling to make its way through a beehive of aliens to rescue slaughtered allies. She has to move each person to an extraction point manually, and she can only use her spare pistol while carrying them. The loadout in this video also includes a stunning grenade, body armor and a fully automatic rifle as the main weapon.
The place is infested with a variety of creatures generated by the parasites, from obstinate enemies that hit you to melee-type faces with burning hands. There are many other things to shoot as well, including bulbous weak spots on all the walls and even the black goo on the floor itself. This goo seems to slow you down, but you can get rid of it with a few shots. Along with the limitations of moving downed allies, this adds some strategy to the extraction, forcing you to clear rooms and obstacles to create a safe path to the extraction points.
However short and censored it may be, this small leak offers a very good overview of a common Rainbow Six Parasite mission, and it looks very promising. We hope that the next batch of official information will arrive sooner or later.
The main developers of Rainbow Six Siege are working on a new online multiplayer game with Amazon.
