Rain and thunderstorms for some today, the sun comes back on Tuesday

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – It has been a sad time lately and it continues for the rest of the day. A hot front will rise through the area tonight, resulting in temperatures of 60 degrees before a cold front arrives tomorrow morning. A line of rain and storms is likely tonight, as the warmer, unstable air pushes briefly into Lowcountry. Any storm tonight can produce lightning and strong winds. The best chance of a strong storm will be from Savannah and points to the south, along with Grand Strand to the north in North Carolina. Although widespread harsh weather is not likely, a storm can be severe to severe. Sunlight will return tomorrow when we get rid of unstable weather. Probably more sunshine on Wednesday, before our next storm system moves southeast on Thursday.
