Raiders win four wins over South Carolina on day one

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee men’s tennis opened its weekend at the Volunteer Showdown with four wins against South Carolina, winning three singles wins and one doubles win on Friday at the Goodfriend Tennis Center.

The Blue Raiders were led by Francisco Rocha and Max Rauch who scored 2-0 on the day, teaming up in doubles for the Raiders’ victory. Rocha defeated Daniel Rodrigues of South Carolina (6-2, 6-3), who was in 46th place in the ITA ranking earlier this year. Rauch won his singles match by defeating Beau Pelletier (7-5, 6-4). Andreas Kramer also won a singles win over Carter Morganin in straight sets (7-6, 6-3).

MT will return to action on Saturday against the state of Mississippi with more doubles action, followed by singles games.
