The Las Vegas Raiders have been busy as a free agency so far and have made a number of important moves that will change the team’s appearance in 2021. The Raiders were most recently making headlines by blowing up their current offensive line in an effort to make some changes. They have already passed Rodney Hudson, Gabe Jackson and Trent Brown. The team also launched Richie Incognito, but has since announced that he has resigned and will return in 2021.

The good news with the negotiations is that the Raiders are getting quality draft capital back and are clearing the line by moving on with these players. Hudson was sent to the Arizona Cardinals for a third round pick in 2021, Jackson was sent to the Seattle Seahawks for a fifth round in 2021 and Brown landed in New England for a fifth and seventh round in 2022.

Can the Raider capitalize on his draft capital load?

While the Raiders are far from hiring free agents, they will try to use their abundance of summoning capital to bolster the squad and reach the qualifiers. Raiders have a lot of potential and talent, but GM Mike Mayock is known for making hires or recruiting choices from time to time. Mayock cannot lose his initial choices in the NFL’s 2021 Draft or risk losing his job if the team is unsuccessful in the postseason.

With a large number of choices in the NFL’s 2021 Draft, I hope the Raiders will make a switch or two to grab the guys they so desire. The main positions of need are offensive line, linebacker, defensive and secondary line.
