Rabbi Yisrael Lau was infected with the new coronavirus, despite receiving two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, his grandson Yedidya Lau tweeted on Saturday night.
He described the former Israeli chief rabbi as “feeling great”. According to Yedidya Lau, Rabbi Lau was infected by his wife, who was exposed to a confirmed carrier of the virus earlier in the week.
