R. Kelly is in prison pending his trial on sex crime charges and tries to be released on bail the entire time he is in prison. However, the artist was labeled “flight risk” after reports emerged that he and his team planned to leave the United States. The singer tried to use COVID-19 as an excuse to be released from prison, but now it seems that it will no longer be a card he can play, since Kelly would have received the coronavirus vaccine.
The Bureau of Prisons noted that R. Kelly was included in 63 inmates in the MCC who were fully vaccinated, along with 128 employees. The singer reportedly received his second dose of the vaccine recently, after receiving his first injection in January 2021. This happened after Kelly tried to be released from prison twice because of COVID-19. R. Kelly’s trial is scheduled for September 2021. Stay tuned for more updates.
