The ever-changing release date for Paramount’s A peaceful place, part II is moving again. Now, the horror / suspense sequel will be released on May 28, 2021.
The new date is the fifth change to the opening of the film. Paramount originally scheduled its US theatrical debut on March 20, 2020, a date that was rendered impractical by the proliferation of the domestic version of the coronavirus pandemic.
From there, he was transferred to September 4, 2020, but was hampered by the persistence of the virus outbreak. Then it was sent to April 2021, while speculation circulated that the film would be released on ViacomCBS’s streaming service. Then it was sent to September 17th, before going back to an earlier slot.
In its new release on May 28, the film will face Disney’s Cruella, the comedy and crime story starring Emma Stone, Emma Thompson, Mark Strong and Paul Walter Hauser.
Paramount’s Infinite the science fiction thriller starring Mark Wahlberg, Dylan O’Brien, Rupert Friend and Chiwetel Ejiof, will now be released on September 24, 2021.
In the sequence directed by John Krasinski, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world while fighting for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they realize that creatures that hunt for sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sandy path.
The first installment of A quiet place it was a huge success for Paramount in 2018, scoring $ 188 million in the United States and more than $ 340 million worldwide.
