Quick recap: Milwaukee Bucks 109, Oklahoma City Thunder 114

The Milwaukee Bucks will have to find its rhythm without Jrue Holiday, and quickly, as it fell for the third consecutive game against Oklahoma City Thunder, 109-114.

NBA.com Box Score

Milwaukee opened the game with a balanced first period against Thunder, tied at 24, but in the second quarter they suffered an absolute drop. With only 17 points scored in those 12 minutes, Bucks entered the break with two digits less. In the third, they reasserted themselves and made up for the entire deficit with a 40-point dam, as each team went to the fourth with 81. Thunder opened up a considerable advantage in the fourth period for a period, but Milwaukee kept close in the final stretch, although at the end of the day they were unable to hit the main bids while OKC hit free throws and a fundamental deep triple.

Bobby Portis was a big boost off the bench, even playing more minutes than Brook Lopez overall, but even that and a triple-double from Giannis Antetokounmpo was not enough to make up for a lackluster offensive performance overall. Milwaukee will return home looking to hit eight position.

Stat that stood out

If you had told me before the game that OKC would beat Milwaukee by 50-40 in the painting, I would have been relatively amazed. Not that OKC can’t score there, they average almost as much as Milwaukee in paint per game, but they also recorded 38% of their strokes there in this game. Even though they reached just 52%, a poor overall score and solid work by Bucks D, the fact that they managed to penetrate that area so often must be disappointing. As a second statistic, Bucks took 23% of its medium-sized photos, by Cleaning The Glass, against the season’s average of 11%.
