Quick recap: Bucks 140, Pacers 113

In a game that did not have Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks had no trouble finding a victory. They would take care of the Indiana Pacers easily, 140-113.

NBA.com Box Score

There was no problem for Bucks to score basketball in the first half. Despite being without the twice reigning NBA MVP, Milwaukee was still scoring the ball with ease. After a quarter, they led the Pacers by a score of 48-26.

The Bucks would continue to roll during the second, keeping Pacers at bay for most of the quarter. At halftime, Milwaukee got a 23 point lead, 83-60.

The same story would be told again in the third. The only difference was that it was a different quarter. Pacers continue to be outnumbered by the Bucks, although they have reduced the deficit to 12 at one point. Going into fourth place, the Bucks still maintained a double-digit lead. They would have no trouble getting it to the finish line, putting the finishing touches on a 140-113 victory.

Stat that stood out

I’m going with those 48 points in the first quarter. Simply remarkable, especially considering that they were without Giannis. That would be equivalent to an ORtg 171, which is just amazing. This is the fifth highest total of individual points in a single quarter in the history of Milwaukee Bucks. The record? 53 against Cleveland in the fourth quarter in 1991. Tonight’s first quarter really set the tone for what the rest of the game would look like, while the Bucks easily crossed the finish line from that point on.
