Quick disturbance to bring little chance of rain today.

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – A fast-moving upper level disturbance will slide through the area earlier today bringing a round of clouds and some spot rains. The brightness of the sun is expected to increase this afternoon, sending highs to the 60s. We will be cooler during the night under a clear sky. The lows will reach 30 at dawn on Wednesday. We expect a sunny sky on Wednesday with highs in the mid-1950s. Clouds will rise on Thursday as a low pressure area develops along the Gulf Coast and heads towards us. The showers will take place later in the day and continue until Thursday night. This low pressure area will maintain a cold rain during Friday morning with a drier climate arriving in the afternoon. We expect a sunny weekend with highs in the 50’s on Saturday and close to 60 degrees on Sunday.
