Queues are formed at the PNC Arena, where around 1,500 COVID vaccines will be distributed :: WRAL.com

– Recently, we saw some really encouraging COVID-19 numbers in our state – and this is a trend that we all want to continue.

Vaccinations are a critical part of these positive metrics.

So, let’s get you up to date with some of the weekend vaccine clinics that happen today.

Nearly 1,500 people are expected to get the vaccine on Saturday at the PNC Arena, in a drive-thru clinic by appointment only.

This will be the second mass vaccination event at the PNC this week.

Thousands of people already took their photos on Wednesday, but Thursday’s event was canceled due to the winter.

With today’s clinic, state leaders say more than 4,300 people will have received doses in the arena.

Internal clinics on Saturday

Wake County residents also have a chance to get their vaccines at two indoor clinics on Saturday.

More than 500 people are scheduled to receive the dose at the Wake County Public Health Center.

And 700 others will welcome you to the Wake County Commons Building.

Clinics are by appointment only.
