Washington Football Team quarterback Alex Smith is questionable for Sunday night’s regular season final against the Eagles.
Coach Ron Rivera said today that Smith will be listed as questionable and that it is too early to say whether Smith’s calf injury will be healed enough for him to play, but Rivera indicated that Smith appeared to be feeling well in training.
Washington is also adding quarterback Steven Montez to the active list. An uncapped Colorado rookie, Montez spent this season on the Washington training team.
If Smith is unable to go, Taylor Heinicke would be the titular player and Montez would support him.
Washington closes NFC East with a victory on Sunday night. If the Eagles win, the winner of the Cowboys-Giants game on Sunday afternoon wins NFC East.
