Queen Elizabeth’s message about Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s Oprah interview had an ‘underlying scam’: source

There was no denying that Queen Elizabeth II’s message to her grandson, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, had a phrase that stood out.

Two days after the bombastic interview of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with Oprah Winfrey, Buckingham Palace released a 61-word statement on behalf of the reigning monarch.

“The whole family is saddened to learn the extent of how challenging the past few years have been for Harry and Meghan,” said a palace statement provided to Fox News. “The issues raised, particularly those of race, are worrisome. Although some memories may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family in particular.”

“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be very dear members of the family,” concluded the statement.

Representatives of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made no comment when contacted by Fox News.

On Thursday, a royal source told People magazine that the remark “some memories may vary” was a “hidden scam” that indicates disagreement among the royal family in some of the allegations made during the televised meeting.

“There was anger,” a palace source told this week’s cover newspaper. “There were genuinely mixed emotions and deep sadness and shock as well.”

On March 7, CBS aired a two-hour interview that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did with Winfrey, 67. During the television session, Harry, 36, revealed that his relationship with Prince Charles, 72, and Prince William, 38, broke up.

Markle, 39, described feeling so isolated and miserable within the royal family that she had thoughts of suicide. The Duchess of Sussex also claimed that a member of the royal family had “concerns” about the skin color of her unborn child.

The family member was not Elizabeth, 94, or Prince Philip, according to Harry, generating a wave of speculation about who it might be.

Harry told Winfrey that the royal family cut him off in early 2020 after announcing plans to step aside from his roles. However, he managed to guarantee the safety of his family because of the money his late mother, Princess Diana, left behind.

As for Charles and William, Harry admitted that his relationship with senior royalty is still tense.

“It is a sad situation because William and Harry could have been so brilliant [as a team]”, said another source to the communication channel.” Thinking about what they could have achieved together is almost heartbreaking. “

Just before the interview, the UK Times reported that Markle faced a complaint of intimidation made by one of her closest advisers during her time as a real worker at Kensington Palace. His team vehemently denied the charges.

“The Duchess is saddened by this latest attack on her character, particularly as someone who has been bullied and is deeply committed to supporting those who have gone through pain and trauma,” a spokesman told Fox News in a statement.

According to People, the palace has opened an investigation and is likely to bring in an outside law firm to help.

“For [some staffers] there was real stress and real trauma, “a source claimed to escape.” These are real people and there is a human toll. “

After Harry and Markle were married in May 2018 at Windsor Castle, the royal family seemed to welcome the Duchess of Sussex, a glamorous former TV star. The pair was seen as a new youthful face for the monarchy of an increasingly multicultural nation.

It didn’t take long for the fairy tale to unravel.

The couple moved away from royal duties last year and settled in California, saying they wanted to escape racist coverage and unwanted intrusions into their privacy by the British media.
