Queen Elizabeth II is reportedly “saddened” by the counted bomb from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with Oprah Winfrey – but the reigning monarch is determined to support her grandson.
On March 7, CBS broadcast a two-hour interview that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did with Winfrey, 67. During the television session, Harry, 36, revealed that his relationship with his father, Prince Charles, of 72, and the older brother Prince William, 38, broke up.
Markle, 39, described feeling so isolated and miserable within the royal family that she had thoughts of suicide. The Duchess of Sussex also claimed that a member of the royal family had “concerns” about the skin color of her unborn child.
The family member was not Elizabeth, 94, or Prince Philip, according to Harry, generating a wave of speculation about who it might be.

Harry told Winfrey that the royal family cut him off in early 2020 after announcing plans to step aside from his roles. However, he managed to guarantee the safety of his family because of the money his late mother, Princess Diana, left behind.

Two days after the bombshell interview of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with Winfrey aired, Buckingham Palace released a 61-word statement on behalf of the reigning monarch.
“The whole family is saddened to learn the extent of how challenging the past few years have been for Harry and Meghan,” said a palace statement provided to Fox News. “The issues raised, particularly those of race, are worrisome. Although some memories may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family in particular.”

“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be very dear members of the family,” concluded the statement.
Representatives of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made no comment when contacted by Fox News.

On Tuesday, “CBS This Morning” co-host Gayle King announced that Harry had spoken to William and Charles after the interview with Winfrey.
King, 66, is friends with Winfrey and the Duchess of Sussex.

“Well, I’m not trying to break the news, but I really called them to see how they were feeling, and it’s true, Harry talked to his brother and he talked to his father too,” said King. “The word they gave me was that these conversations were not productive. But they are happy that at least they started a conversation.
“And I think what still worries them is that the palace keeps saying that they want to resolve this in private, but still, they believe that these false stories are coming out that they are very disparaging against Meghan.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex currently reside in California with their son Archie.

She added that “no one in the royal family has spoken to Meghan yet, at this specific time.”
After Harry and Markle were married in May 2018 at Windsor Castle, the royal family seemed to welcome the Duchess of Sussex, a glamorous former TV star. The pair was seen as a new youthful face for the monarchy of an increasingly multicultural nation.

It didn’t take long for the fairy tale to unravel.
The couple moved away from royal duties last year and ended up settling in California, saying they wanted to escape racist coverage and unwanted intrusions into their privacy by the British media.
During the interview, the duke and duchess shared that they are expecting a girl this summer.
