Queen Elizabeth II will break long-standing record set by Queen Mother | Royal | News

Two new royal babies are on the way, while the Windsor family continues to grow rapidly. Both Zara Tindall and the Duchess of Sussex recently announced that they expect an increase in their families. Zara is due to give birth to her third child in the spring, while Meghan is expected to make baby Archie a brother later this year.

The two new arrivals mean that the 94-year-old sovereign will surpass the record set by the Queen Mother.

The queen and her husband, Prince Philip, will soon meet their tenth and eleventh great-grandchildren.

There will be two more than the queen consort was lucky enough to know before she passed away.

Great-grandson number nine was born on February 9 at Portland Hospital in central London.

The boy became the first child of Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank.

The child will be the 11th in line to the throne, taking the place of Prince Eduardo, who went down to the 12th position.

She does not officially represent the queen, nor does she receive any taxpayer funds, which means that she can safeguard her family’s privacy.

Eugenie, 30, and Jack Brooksbank, 34, were married in October 2018 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

Members of the royal family, including the queen and Prince Philip, were accompanied at the ceremony by 850 guests, including singer Robbie Williams and model Cara Delevingne.
