Queen asks for unity before Harry and Meghan interview

Queen Elizabeth will discuss the importance of meeting in a new Commonwealth speech before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The oldest members of the royal family will gather for the Commonwealth’s annual service day on Sunday. Although the precautions of COVID-19 may prevent the usual festivities, the Queen will instead share a recorded message especially for the television program, “A Celebration for Community Day,” reports Mirror.

She will be accompanied by Prince Charles, Camilla, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Sophie Wessex. The Community service day last year marked Harry and Meghan’s final engagement as the oldest members of the royal family.

The Queen’s unity message will air on BBC One on Sunday at 5 pm UK time, eight hours before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex interview for CBS, which will air in the United States on Sunday, March 7 at 8pm, which is 1am UK time. UK ITV will broadcast the full interview on Monday at 9 pm.
