Texans do not answer the phone to hear proposals for switching to Deshaun Watson and the star defender is willing to lose regular season games if he is not traded.
In other words, the impasse between the franchise and its unfortunate quarterback continues.
ESPN.com reported on Friday that Watson is willing to lose a lot of money by staying out if Houston refuses to transfer it and the relationship cannot be repaired.
“He may incur fines of more than $ 3 million during this process, but he doesn’t care. They said the relationship is simply too far now, ”said ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler.
This report came hours after the NFL network reported that the teams resorted to leaving voice messages with the Texans, since they are not willing to be involved in trade negotiations.
Watson, 25, signed a $ 156 million four-year extension last season, but felt disrespected by the Texans for not consulting him on important decisions, such as signing Nick Caserio as GM and wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins at last spring.
The NFL Network also reported that Texans do not feel that there are any deadlines to negotiate, such as the start of the free agency (March 17) or 2021 NFL Draft (April 29). Teams that would like to get involved, like Jets, Dolphins and Panthers, also do not believe that Watson will be traded.
Nobody blinked yet.
