LAKELAND, Florida – (BUSINESS WIRE) – After receiving additional doses of vaccine, Publix is reopening the online booking system on Wednesday, February 24, for COVID-19 vaccination appointments at 273 stores in 20 Florida counties. Last week’s bad weather interrupted shipping times, resulting in fewer stores with scheduling availability. The number of appointments available at each store also varies. Customers with a second dose appointment are unaffected and must check into the COVID-19 vaccine check-in area on the scheduled date and time.
The online booking system normally opens every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning for vaccine appointments at Publix Florida pharmacies, as long as the company continues to receive doses of vaccines from the state and federal governments, except in unforeseen circumstances. Appointments may not be available in all counties during all scheduling opportunities. The most up-to-date information on Publix’s COVID-19 vaccination efforts can be found at publix.com/covidvaccine.
Eligibility
According to state guidelines, vaccination is being provided for individuals aged 65 and over.
Commitments
Vaccines are only provided by appointment, while supplies last, through the online reservation system at publix.com/covidvaccine. It is not possible to make appointments by calling Publix or Publix Pharmacy. The system will open on Wednesday, February 24, at 7 am ET, for consultations on Friday, February 26. Since there is no residence restriction in the county, customers can consider neighboring counties for available appointments.

Costs and insurance
Vaccines are provided to eligible individuals, by appointment only, while supplies last, and at no cost to the individual. Health insurance customers will need to bring their insurance card for their scheduled appointment. Medicare members must bring their red, white and blue Medicare Part B card.
