COLOMBIA, SC (WIS) – Shortly after Publix started accepting consultations for the COVID-19 vaccine in South Carolina, everyone was scheduled.
The current announced Monday that it could administer the vaccine in its pharmacies – including the one at the Eastgate Shopping Center in Aiken – and started making appointments at 6am on Tuesday.
A note on the Publix website says that more consultations will be added as more doses of the vaccine become available.
Publix is partnering with the state of South Carolina to distribute the COVID-19 vaccine to individuals aged 70 and over, health professionals, residents and employees of long-term health institutions, state and local government officials and contractors who are critical to the administration of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Like any other vaccination site across the state, Publix will supply vaccines by appointment only.
Individuals who make an appointment to receive vaccination with Publix will be asked to bring their red, white and blue insurance card and / or their Medicare Part B card. If you do not have health insurance or Medicare, you must provide your driver’s license or Social Security number.
Publix will supply vaccines by appointment at 42 of its pharmacies across the state. For more informations, click or tap here.
