LAKELAND, Florida – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Publix’s online booking system will open tomorrow morning for COVID-19 vaccination appointments at 58 Publix pharmacies in South Carolina. Vaccines are provided to eligible individuals only by appointment and while supplies last. Some pharmacy locations included in previous distributions have not been included at this time; however, they may receive doses of vaccine in the future.
Eligibility
According to state guidelines, vaccines can be administered to healthcare professionals, individuals aged 65 and over, residents and employees of long-term care facilities, caregivers of clinically fragile children with a certificate signed by a medical provider to confirm that a caregiver meets the criteria and employees and contractors of the South Carolina state / local government that are essential for administering vaccines and COVID-19 tests.
Commitments
Vaccines are provided only by appointment, while supplies last, through the online reservation system at publix.com/covidvaccine. The system will open on Tuesday, March 2, at 7 am Eastern Time, for appointments from Thursday, March 4, Wednesday, March 10. Scheduling cannot be done over the phone.

Publix pharmacies will administer the vaccine in the following counties while supplies last: Aiken, Anderson, Beaufort, Berkeley, Charleston, Dorchester, Georgetown, Greenville, Greenwood, Horry, Jasper, Lancaster, Lexington, Pickens, Richland, Spartanburg and York. Customers can also use the online booking system to find out if appointments are available at their nearby store.
Publix pharmacies have also administered the COVID-19 vaccine to eligible individuals in selected locations in Florida, Georgia and Virginia. The company continues to communicate with states in its area of expertise to provide COVID-19 vaccines as part of its distribution efforts.
Costs and insurance
Vaccines are provided to eligible individuals, by appointment only, while supplies last, and at no cost to the individual. Customers with health insurance must bring their insurance card for the scheduled appointment. Medicare members must bring their red, white and blue Medicare Part B card. Customers without health insurance will need to provide their driver’s license or Social Security number.
