LAKELAND, Florida – (BUSINESS WIRE) – For the first time, Publix is offering COVID-19 vaccines in Alabama locations. Beginning on Wednesday, April 7, at 7 am Eastern Time, the online booking system will open for Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccination appointments at all of the Publix Pharmacy locations in Alabama and Tennessee. In Florida, consultations will be available at 607 Publix pharmacies in stores, so some locations included in previous distributions are not included at this time. However, they may receive doses of the vaccine in the future.
Although individuals aged 16 and over are eligible in all three states, the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is only authorized for people aged 18 and over.
Commitments
Vaccines are provided to individuals aged 18 and over by appointment only, while supplies last, via the online reservation system at publix.com/covidvaccine. Individuals can use the online booking system to find out if appointments are available at their nearby store.
The system will open on Wednesday, April 7, at 7 am Eastern Time, for the following scheduling times. Appointments cannot be made by calling Publix or Publix Pharmacy.

Publix pharmacies will administer the vaccine in the following Tennessee counties while supplies last: Bradley, Coffee, Davidson, Greene, Hamilton, Knox, Montgomery, Putnam, Rutherford, Sevier, Sumner, Williamson and Wilson. Costs and insurance
Vaccines are provided to eligible individuals, by appointment only, while supplies last, and at no cost to the individual. Customers with health insurance must bring their insurance card to the scheduled appointment. Medicare members must bring their red, white and blue Medicare Part B card. Customers without health insurance will need to provide their driver’s license or Social Security number.
Publix pharmacies have also administered the COVID-19 vaccine to eligible individuals in selected locations in Georgia, South Carolina and Virginia. The company continues to communicate with states in its area of expertise to provide COVID-19 vaccines as part of its distribution efforts.
