Publix offers consultations for Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines in Alabama, Florida and Tennessee

LAKELAND, Florida – (BUSINESS WIRE) – For the first time, Publix is ​​offering COVID-19 vaccines in Alabama locations. Beginning on Wednesday, April 7, at 7 am Eastern Time, the online booking system will open for Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccination appointments at all of the Publix Pharmacy locations in Alabama and Tennessee. In Florida, consultations will be available at 607 Publix pharmacies in stores, so some locations included in previous distributions are not included at this time. However, they may receive doses of the vaccine in the future.

Although individuals aged 16 and over are eligible in all three states, the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is only authorized for people aged 18 and over.

Costs and insurance

Vaccines are provided to eligible individuals, by appointment only, while supplies last, and at no cost to the individual. Customers with health insurance must bring their insurance card to the scheduled appointment. Medicare members must bring their red, white and blue Medicare Part B card. Customers without health insurance will need to provide their driver’s license or Social Security number.
