‘PUBG: New State’ for Android and iOS is set 30 years in the future

The battlegrounds of Player Unknown, also known as PUBG, are expanding into the future. Developer Krafton revealed PUBG: New State for iOS and Android, taking the battle royale game until 2051 to a place called Troi. Unlike PUBG Mobile, which was developed by Tencent of China, this is an entirely new experience created by the PUBG Studio team.

With a jump in time of 30 years, the new map promises futuristic weapons, techniques and vehicles, including a ballistic shield, combat moves and drones. It also offers a new customization feature in the game, allowing you to build your own weapons through customization kits – including performance improvements, fire mode selection and grenade launcher accessories.

The trailer practically shows what you would expect from a PUBG title, like violent shootings, car chases and cinematic scenarios. The futuristic, but dirty, environment is very different from current maps, but PUBG: New State must look good for a mobile game. It will provide global lighting rendering along with improved graphics and smoother, more stable gameplay, the developer said. PUBG: New State will arrive on Android and iOS tablets and phones sometime in 2021, but you can pre-register for the Android version now.
