The original PUBG – also known as PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds – is credited with kick-starting the Battle Royale video game trend. Tencent finally ported PUBG to mobile devices with the appropriately titled PUBG: Mobile. Now, there’s a new game on the way called PUBG: New State.

This is a totally different game than we saw before in the PUBG universe. It takes place at a different time, has unique features and is the first mobile PUBG title made by the original development company.

What is PUBG: New State?
PUBG: New State is a mobile-only game set in the PUBG universe. When released, it will be available exclusively on Android and iOS devices.

The original PUBG is defined today (or something like that). New State, however, takes place in the not-too-distant future of 2051. As such, it will likely bring new characters and stories to the PUBG universe.
However, it is still a PUBG title and will be played very similarly to previous games. You will be launched on a map and will need to fight for victory while facing dozens of other players.
When and where will the game be released?
PUBG Studio has not committed to a specific date for the release of this new game. However, the company said it plans to launch in 2021. Obviously, the COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc on media release dates, so there may be delays in 2022. For now, however, the studio is maintaining the release PUBG: New State in 2021.
When released, the game will be available globally for Android and iOS devices. Unfortunately, it will not land in China, India or Vietnam. This is probably due to problems that PUBG bonds have faced in these countries in the past.

What are the unique features of this game?
The most notable feature of this new game is not the game itself, but the company that made it. PUBG Studios is creating PUBG: New State, which is the same company that made the original PUBG.
The only other mobile PUBG title is PUBG: Mobile, created by Chinese gaming giant Tencent. This makes New State the only mobile game from the original development company.
Set in the future, the new PUBG game has a new map, new weapons and new ways to interact with the environment.
Outside of development, New State will have features that other PUBG titles don’t. For example, there will be a weapon customization system that will allow players to change the appearance of their weapons during a match. This sounds similar to the Apex Legends system. There will also be new weapons available that reflect the futuristic landscape, including drones and folding combat shields.
There will also be a brand new map for the game. When you fall, you will land in a place called Troi. PUBG Studios promises new milestones and interactive environments, which should allow you to create unique ways to disable your opponents.
Finally, PUBG: New State will be built specifically for mobile games. Developers promise “state-of-the-art graphics that surpass
the standard for mobile games. ”Players can also expect the same control experience that is“ easy to learn, but difficult to master ”.
Will PUBG: New State be installed on the PC or on other platforms?
As of now, PUBG: New State was designed specifically for mobile devices. As such, you should only expect it to appear on Android and iOS devices.

However, it would not be out of the question to think that a PC or console port could happen in the future. Part of the competing game of Fortnite is the multiplatform game. It is unreasonable to assume that PUBG Studios would like to offer something comparable to their titles. Of course, it is entirely possible that this is not the strategy here and this game will remain exclusively for mobile. Time will tell.
For now, plan to play only on your phone or tablet (or in a PC emulation package).
