PUBG Mobile bans more than 1.6 million hackers in one week

Hackers have always been a big problem in PUBG Mobile. The popular Battle Royale game releases an anti-cheat report every week to assure players that action is being taken against cheaters. In one week, from March 26 to April 1, the game banned 1.6 million hackers.

About 68 percent of the accounts were captured with automatic targeting and x-ray vision, according to Tencent’s report yesterday. Twelve percent were using speed hacks while 10 percent were modifying their area damage and character model. About 10% of the accounts were banned for other reasons.

Tencent also revealed the hacker’s rating distribution:

  • Bronze: 35 percent
  • Silver: 11 percent
  • Gold: Nine percent
  • Platinum: 11 percent
  • Diamond: 13 percent
  • Crown: 12 percent
  • At: Eight percent
  • Conquer: One percent

While PUBG Mobile has a built-in hack detection system, some cheaters can get around it. Players can report these hackers, however, to do them justice. These reports are evaluated individually by Tencent. The report button appears on the post-results screen for a match.

After clicking on it, a new window will appear listing various reasons for the report. Players can also manually say the reason for the report using the text box in the window. If a player you reported is banned, you will receive a notification for that.
