PSN DOWN – Latest server status

The PlayStation PSN network is experiencing connectivity problems now, with most services for PS4 and PS5 users experiencing serious problems.

Sony’s servers appear to be down for users worldwide based on reports from DownDetector.

Service issues started around 1:00 am GMT this morning, with reports of rising players on social media platforms.

The only good news is that Sony seems to be aware of these problems, with the Sony PlayStation Network’s official service status page acknowledging the problems.

“Some services are having problems.” reads a message.

At the time of this writing, ALL services on the official Sony PlayStation Network service status page were being displayed in red (as in, not working).

This includes: account management, games and social networks, PlayStation Now and PlayStation Store.

A message from Sony says: “You may have difficulty logging in or creating a PlayStation Network account. We are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.

“You may have difficulty launching games, applications or network resources. We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

For the time being it is unclear how long PSN’s ongoing problems can take to resolve, but with Sony aware of the problems, I hope it won’t be long.
