Speaking at the press conference, Psaki was asked whether Trump’s absence from social media platforms made Biden’s life easier because the former president is not able to anger Republican lawmakers to oppose the new government’s initiatives, such as a package of help COVID-19 which is in limbo.
“It can be hard to believe, we don’t spend a lot of time talking or thinking about President Trump here – former President Trump, to be very clear,” said Psaki. “This is a question that is probably more appropriate for Republican members who are looking for ways to support a bipartisan package and whether it gives them space. But I can’t say that we miss him on Twitter. “

Biden will meet with Republican senators who are promoting a reduced coronavirus aid package on Monday afternoon, while the government is considering whether to try to move forward with its much larger package without Republican Party support.
Trump has been noticeably quiet amid Biden’s first major political struggle in Washington.
Twitter and Facebook suspended Trump’s accounts after he spoke to a crowd of supporters on the day that a pro-Trump crowd attacked the U.S. Capitol building to try to prevent the electoral college’s vote counting.
