Psaki supports House Democrats’ attempts to overturn Iowa’s Congressional election

White House press secretary Jen Psaki gave the House Democrats the OK of the government in her attempt to overturn the state-certified election in Iowa’s 2nd congressional district.

Psaki was asked by a reporter whether President Biden agrees with a recent letter from Republican senators saying that the Democrats’ attempt to take the seat of Republican Representative Mariannette Miller-Meeks and replace her with Democrat Rita Hart was an “unacceptable attempt to undermine a legitimate Democrat to sue. ”

Biden’s press secretary responded by giving the mayor Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif, and the company the green light to try to annul the result and declare Hart the winner.

“I believe that the process outlined by the House of Representatives is what is being followed here to ensure that all votes are counted,” said Psaki. “So, no, he wouldn’t agree with that.”

Republicans spoke out against the Democratic attempt to take the Miller-Meeks chair.

The Iowa congresswoman defeated Hart in the election with a fragile six-vote victory in a dispute that is still being contested, although Iowa has officially certified the election results and Miller-Meeks has been provisionally sworn in as a member of Congress.

Senator Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, argued that Hart went directly to the House Management Committee to challenge the election instead of the Iowa courts during a “Fox & Friends Weekend” interview.

“Congresswoman Miller-Meeks had a seat in Congress. She won this election,” said Ernst. “It was certified by Iowans … and now Nancy Pelosi, perhaps, will bring it down.”

“And this is terribly unfair to voters in Iowa’s second district, and we’re backing away,” added Ernst.

Pelosi had previously told reporters that there was “of course” a situation in which she saw her party stealing the Miller-Meeks chair.

Miller-Meeks criticized the Democratic Party’s ploy to snatch his seat in the House in an “Special Report” interview earlier this month.

She defended her state-certified victory during the interview, saying that people across the country should be “outraged” at the attempt to nullify their victory.

“Everyone across the country should be outraged by this,” said Miller-Meeks. “I was certainly encouraged by those people across the country who came to me and said that they are contacting their representatives to inform them of their discontent.”
