Vaccine selfies – vaxxies, if you prefer – abound as more people are vaccinated against COVID-19 every day. People look forward to receiving the jab, perhaps with such anxiety that they forget to think about what is best to wear for the event.
One of the most recent vaxxies to circulate is that of the French Minister of Health. He is wearing a typically boring dress shirt, but is completely unbuttoned because his bare arm is stuck. He looks solemnly from the middle distance while tastefully hiding his nipple with his shirt.
Other European authorities have gone even further. The Greek prime minister’s vaxxie resembles classic paintings of women with an exposed breast. A member of the UK Parliament chose to be fully topless when he received the injection.
Rarely do they see such a weak coward here when it comes to injections, but the lovely team at Derriford Hospital made it as perfect as ever this morning, in the last round of the COVID-19 vaccine trial we’re doing here in Plymouth .. pic.twitter.com/nDrhhXjCUM

To be clear, revealing so much skin is not a requirement to obtain one of the COVID-19 vaccines. It is simply difficult to reach the top of the arm – where the vaccine needs to be injected – with a long, tight sleeve on the way.
Health centers generally recommend the use of layers and short sleeves. You can choose a nice casual polo, the classic cardigan over a combo top, or simply remember to wear a T-shirt with the button down shirt. You can also lean towards a baroque look with a loose shirt. For the sake of your local health professionals, however, I cannot say that I recommend going to the full Renaissance, Birth of Venus vibrations. But at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter which outfit you choose, as long as you get the vaccine.
