Target stores are restocking the PS5. This is the first time we’ve heard news about Target in 2021, and we think we’ll see this year’s first Target PS5 drop very soon.
If you are new, we have successfully reported Destination Drop for December 21st and December 29th. We also reported Best Buy’s Fall for December 15th before being officially confirmed.
According to our regular sources and some new ones, Target stores are receiving PS5 shipments on January 19th and 21st, depending on their regions, ie Tuesday and Thursday. The stores are getting around 4-12 units.
From previous declines, we know that Target never holds stock. So, as soon as Target stores receive inventory, we can expect a drop. For this fall, we can circulate four dates – 19, 20, 21 and 22 January. However, there is a problem.
The information comes from sources in several regions. So far, we’ve heard from Southeast region, Pacific Northwest, Midwest, and the South Central region. The footprint
According to Jake, who has been watching and talking to several sources about Target, may not be a massive collective fall but small individuals. “I think stores can post online, one at a time, whenever they want with their 4 consoles each,” said Jake. “I received confirmation from the company that 2 stores in Texas have just done this.”
Stores are receiving very little inventory, so we cannot expect much from Target at this time. Talking to several PS5 trackers, I can say that the following drops would be comparatively weaker than what we saw in the past. Therefore, it is better not to have high expectations while looking for an opportunity.
Some stores that should receive PS5 units on the 21st have already caught, that is, 3 days before. The source mentions that many other nearby stores have also received consoles. Some stores have only 1, while a few have more than 20. Remember, however, that, as always, some stores are left with no stock.
In contrast, a leader of the executive team at a Target store in the Center-South region mentioned that he has not received any information about any falls so far. Usually, they receive memos before the falls happened, but they received nothing at the time of publishing this article. If something changes, we’ll update the article, so check back often.

How to buy PS5 from Target
Target sells the PS5 online only. You will have to buy the console online and visit the store for a pickup or a drive-up. There are no walk-ins.
The normal time when the target falls is between 3 am – 7 am ET. Be more prepared from 5:00 am to 7:00 am Eastern time, as Target took the PS5 down several times during those two hours.

What are the fastest ways to complete your purchase at Target?
The fastest ways are –
- Stay connected to the Target website on your computer and the Target application In your cellphone.
- Based on our observations, most of the people who secured Target’s PS5 were successful with Target application on their phones. Therefore, using the application is mandatory.
- If you have one Target RedCard, your checkout is even faster.
- Continue to update the Target website and app every 5 minutes. If you don’t want to do that and just want to be notified when there is a fall, follow us on Twitter, as we will tweet immediately when there is a fall.
- Make sure that you inform your bank / credit card company that you will make a great purchase. Some people faced order cancellations due to suspicious activity / fraud.
- Join our Discord server. We have separate channels for geolocation. This will help you to be notified when a Target store in your specific area / region has PS5 units in stock.
- If stores based on your postal code are out of stock, try the nearby postal codes based on your convenience of traveling to pick up the unit.
