Throughout the weekend, we are monitoring PS5 replenishment from 12 major retailers across the U.S. We may not see the new stock until Monday or Tuesday, but that’s why you follow us on Twitter. Earlier this week, we saw the PS5 fall four times: Amazon on Tuesday, Sony Direct on Wednesday, Antonline and Best Buy on Friday.

We are checking PS5 inventory at every major U.S. retailer, including Sony Direct, GameStop, Walmart, Target and Best Best. We are monitoring 12 different stores so that you can get the PS5 in its normal MSRP.
GameStop is important because it sells PS5 packages. There are all the resellers who try to make a profit and need to sell games that are easy to buy for the full price. This is a much more difficult resale opportunity for them – and a benefit for real players.
Some basic rules for Sony Direct: Remember, whenever PS5 refueling takes place in the United States, it will put you in a virtual queue and randomly pick people to buy the much sought-after video game console. You are not guaranteed to get one.
As we always warned, joining the Sony Direct queue does not mean that you will find the console in stock. Most people will see “more than an hour of waiting” from the estimated waiting time. That’s what the message says to us. For others, they will see a queue of just a few minutes.
Here are more rules, according to Sony:
- First, you will need an active PSN account to complete the purchase.
- Second, you will have 10 minutes to purchase the PS5.
- Third, “PS5 consoles are now available, but are not guaranteed even if you are in the queue,” according to Sony.a
