The replenishment date for the original Amazon PS5 was supposed to be last week, but Amazon reportedly canceled the event at the last minute. No one knows when Amazon will launch its PS5 consoles for sale, but it has been a while since its last PS5 refueling.

Best Buy PS5 replenishment date
Best Buy has been running out of stock on the PS5 every Friday for the past month. Best Buy gives no warning, the PS5 simply magically appears in stock. However, Best Buy always launches consoles in the afternoon and always offers consoles with the list price: $ 499 for the PS5 and $ 399 for the PS5 Digital. Several sources have reported a trick by Amazon that increases your chances of hitting a PS5. We tested this trick four times and each time we managed to put a state-of-the-art console in our cart. (We tested it with an Xbox Series X, but there’s no reason why it wouldn’t work with a PS5). Other tips from the PS5 retailer include:
Get ready: Make sure you have all the correct two-factor payment and authentication card details available and on hand when you find a PS5 ready to buy. Units can go so fast that if you’re trying to find your credit card, you may miss the chance to secure a PS5 order.
Select a retailer: As you can see in our list above, there are many retailers to choose from, which can make the whole process of buying a PS5 a bit complicated. We suggest that you select some of the top retailers, such as Walmart and Amazon, and keep an eye on the PS5 landing pages.
Sign up for inventory alerts: Many retailers offer to alert you when the PS5 is replenished. We suggest that you subscribe to these services for the retailers that offer them.
Find the right product page: It may seem obvious, but make sure you are on the purchase page for the PS5 or PS5 Digital Edition. If you’re on a landing page, you may end up losing the moment new inventory arrives.
Log in to retailers: Be sure to sign in to all retailers where you already have an account. This will make things a lot faster when buying a PS5 if you find one for sale. And speed is essential today.

It is also a good idea to check out some of the subscription-based wholesale retailers, such as Sam’s Club, BJ’s Wholesale Club and Costco. You need a paid subscription to buy from these retailers, but that means reduced competition to get a unit there. It may be necessary to overpay for a package, but it is worth checking out these locations anyway. Currently, there are no online listings for these retailers to check, but it may be worth going to each physical store to try your luck at this point.
It has been quite a difficult process during this generation of console to catch any kind of next generation purchase. Unfortunately, one of the main reasons for the scarcity of PS5 consoles is due to the money changers. These opportunistic people have been using bots to scan retailers for PS5 inventory when it becomes available and buy as many consoles as they can at one time.
Once they have the highly desirable console, they will sell it at exorbitant prices, usually for thousands of dollars. Business Insider reported that a retailer managed to get 200 PS5 consoles and managed to sell them for more than $ 40,000.
While this is not illegal, it is not exactly the most morally sensible thing to do. But at least it’s not as bad as some people who pretend to sell PS5 consoles on eBay simply by posting pictures of the console and tricking people into bidding for them when there was no PS5 on offer.
It may seem absurd to buy a PS5 for more than $ 1,000, especially since its line of launch games is not particularly deep. But with the coronavirus pandemic making more people stay at home, some PlayStation fans are clearly desperate to get their hands on a new console to keep them entertained.
We advise you to avoid buying from these resellers, fake or not. At $ 499, the PS5 is still a pretty expensive console and currently doesn’t have a huge game library. So if you can wait until the end of this year, there are likely to be a lot more PS5 games to choose from and Sony should have more consoles available.
