PS5 refueling updates for Amazon, Target, Best Buy, Walmart and more

Sony’s PlayStation 5 continues to be in high demand and inventory shortages have continued in the weeks since its launch in the United States on November 12 last year.

The next-generation game console appeared sporadically on websites of retail giants like Amazon, Walmart and BestBuy – with limited company communication in terms of when to expect new inventory to be made available to the public.

Many fans have now turned to Twitter, where dedicated accounts have been created to monitor and deliver news about potential PS5 availability, including SupplyNinja, Target Restock Alerts, YtNextGenGaming and PS5StockAlerts.

Be forewarned, however, it is advisable to keep your hopes and expectations in check. Any website that gets inventory is likely to be overwhelmed with traffic. Twitter probably contains links to scams and PS5 climbers have been using bots to get massive consoles.

Without any official news, social media and the media are full of rumors and speculation about the new “releases” of the PlayStation 5 at major retailers, which often make consoles available for purchase without significant notice, and most sell quickly.

Twitter profile YtNextGenGaming said on Saturday that rumors suggest that Best Buy, Costco, Target, Walmart and Newegg may have more shares next week.

On Saturday, an accountant warned that it is not an exact science. “I am receiving dozens of DMs asking what exact day the falls are happening this week. No one knows for sure. They are called falls because retailers randomly drop their inventory. It’s random,” wrote the @SupplyNinja profile on Twitter. “I am a ninja, not a psychic.”
