PS5 refueling update for Walmart, Target, Best Buy and more

Sony’s PlayStation 5 is still one of the most sought-after consoles on the market, but players are having a hard time getting their hands on it amid huge demand.

Twitter accounts have emerged that are dedicated to monitoring the availability of the PlayStation 5. Although they sometimes share unproven rumors, they also provide useful information when consoles are replenished in stores and online.

Here are the latest news from some of the top retailers.

PS5 refueling destination

PS5s were missing from Target’s website at the beginning of January 9, but accessories like the DualSense Wireless Controller were available for purchase. This has been a recent pattern for the retailer.

Several Twitter accounts monitor Target for updates on PS5 actions, including Target Restock Alerts and YtNextGenGaming. Neither reported PS5s on Target on Friday.

Walmart PS5 refuel

Walmart’s website was out of stock of PS5s on Saturday morning. Attempting to purchase either version of the console returned an error page with the message: “Oops! This item is unavailable or on hold.”

However, other PS5-related items, including the DualSense Wireless Controller and Media Remote were available for purchase. It is important to note that the DualSense charging station was also out of stock at the time of writing.

Best Buy PS5 Refueling

Best Buy offers a few different PS5 packages, but the consoles sold out on Saturday morning. When they have stock, customers need to order online for collection on the sidewalk. Consoles cannot be purchased at the store.

Refueling Amazon PS5

The PlayStation 5 was not available from Amazon on Saturday morning with no indication of when the consoles would be refueled. The Amazon website noted, “We don’t know when or if this item will be back in stock.”

eBay PS5 refuel

PS5s are still available for purchase on eBay. This has been the case for some time, as those lucky enough to buy consoles are looking to resell them at a profit.

Prices are considerably higher than those of high street retailers, however, with some eBay sellers asking for up to $ 1,100 at the time of writing. The online stock tracker NowInStock.net notes that eBay is currently the only place where you can get the console.

When will the PS5 be refueled?

Sony is expected to ship 18 million PlayStation 5 consoles in 2021, according to a Digitimes report. This represents five times the number that was released in the first month of sales. About 10 million are expected to be on the market in March this year, which should give potential players some hope.
