PS5 refueling update for Target, Walmart, Best Buy and more

Sony’s PlayStation 5 is one of the most sought-after items available at the moment and many people have a hard time finding one. Major retailers like Target, Amazon and Best Buy have seen their stock run out, causing some frustration for potential customers.

A number of Twitter accounts have been set up to monitor the availability of the PlayStation 5 and report when consoles are replenished in stores and online. Some hopeful buyers repeatedly update their sites in anticipation of new inventory.

PS5 refueling destination

Target was out of stock of PS5s at the time of writing, although accessories like the DualSense Wireless Controller were available for purchase. Target may have more PS5s in the near future, however, according to the Twitter account YtNextGenGaming. He shared updates on PS5 restocking in the past and offered some good news on December 31st.

“Many target stores have received stock. From my sources, there should be a drop in the next 2 weeks. Expect them to fall from Sunday to Tuesday,” tweeted the account.

On January 1st, YtNextGenGaming shared a list of stores confirmed or rumored to be restocking PS5s next week, although reports could not be confirmed. The Target Restock Alerts Twitter account should also keep an eye out for updates on the store’s PS5 inventory. Advises you to update the Target website regularly.

Walmart PS5 refuel

The Walmart website shows that they have no stock of PS5s, noting for both console versions “Oops! This item is unavailable or on hold.” However, they are still selling PS5 DualSense wireless controllers and charging stations.

Best Buy PS5 Refueling

The disc and digital versions of the PS5 were sold on the Best Buy website at the beginning of January 2. Best Buy offers several different packages and customers must order online for pickup on the sidewalk. PS5s cannot be purchased at the store.

Amazon PS5 Refueling

The PlayStation 5 was not available on Amazon at the beginning of January 2, although some were available on January 1 before it sold out. The Amazon website states that “We don’t know when or if this item will be back in stock.”

The PlayStation 5 is available on eBay and according to the stock tracker NowInStock.net, it appears to be the only place where the console can be purchased today.
