PS5 refueling update for Amazon, Best Buy, Newegg, Walmart and more

Sony’s PlayStation 5 remains one of the most sought-after consoles available at the moment and many people are still having trouble finding one. Large retailers like Target, Amazon and Best Buy often see stocks sold out, causing some frustration for potential customers.

Although released on November 12, 2020, PS5 supplies were quickly purchased whenever they were available. If you expect to get a console as a special Easter gift, here’s an analysis of the PS5 stock situation on Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart and more.

Refueling Amazon PS5

Amazon had no stock of the PlayStation 5 on Sunday morning. Visitors to the online retail giant were left with the simple message “We don’t know when or if this item will be back in stock.”

Best Buy PS5 Refueling

Both versions of the PlayStation 5 were sold on the Best Buy website on Sunday morning. Although refueling was expected on Friday, consumers were disappointed when it failed to materialize.

Best Buy has had PS5s available every Friday for the past six weeks. But, at least this Easter, players are out of luck.

Costco PS5 Refueling

The PS5 was sold out at Costco at the time of writing. The retailer was offering the console as part of a package and had units on Tuesday for a limited period of time.

GameStop PS5 Restock

GameStop proved to be a good place for PlayStation 5 seekers, with frequent refueling. The retailer had a stock briefly on Friday morning and was offering packages with Spider-Man Final Edition, Call to action and Avengers games. However, the consoles were later sold out and no other units were made available.

However, Twitter accounts dedicated to games, like @ Wario64 and @GYXdeals, provide useful stock updates and are worth looking for potential buyers.

Newegg PS5 Refueling

Newegg bucked the general trend on Sunday and had the PlayStation 5 on sale at the time this article was written for $ 1,199.99 a piece. However, its other PS5 packages were all sold out. The digital edition was out of stock, however, except as part of the package that also cost $ 1,999.99.

The package includes DualSense controller and HD camera.

PS Direct PS5 Refueling

Both versions of the PS5 were out of stock on Sunday morning at the official Sony store. PS Direct was last restocked on March 23, but there has been no movement since.

Those wishing to purchase a PS5 via this route will need a PSN account, however, and quantities are limited to one per address.

The Twitter user @ Wario64 informed his followers about the replenishment of PS Direct last Tuesday and it may be worth checking out for future updates.

Target PS5 Refueling

Both versions of the PlayStation were still sold out at Target on Sunday morning, just as they were on Saturday. Target had a refueling on Wednesday, but there is no further indication of when new units will arrive.

Those wishing to purchase a PS5 from Target will have to order online and remove the console via pickup or drive-up pickup. Supplies are also limited to one per person when in stock.

And it’s a similar image at Walmart, where both versions of the PS5 were out of stock on Sunday morning. There are reports of some hope for a refueling in the near future, but from now on players will be disappointed.

Walmart’s last refueling was on March 18.
