Even two months after launch, the PS5 and Xbox Series X remain difficult to find in stock, but GameStop has announced that customers will have another chance to buy the next generation consoles today, january 21. Video game retailer plans to replenish PS5, Xbox Series X packages | S and Nintendo Switch, although a limited number of units are expected, so you’ll want to be quick if you want a new console.
Unfortunately, it is not clear exactly when the PS5 or Xbox Series X | S will be replenished. GameStop Twitter account we’ll post when they’re live and update this story as well, but console packages will likely appear in the links above sometime today. People can expect a variety of accessories and extra games included in the packages, which will make them more expensive than standard consoles.
The difficulty in buying one of the new consoles has been immense, especially with PS5 scalpers snatching the units before anyone else. However, it appears that retailers have taken more stock of the PS5 this week, as GameStop is just the last store to put PS5 units on sale recently. Target had its first refueling of the year on Wednesday, while Amazon and Best Buy had the PS5 available for purchase this morning. The Xbox Series X, on the other hand, hasn’t been around as much recently, and when we see it in stock, it’s almost always available as a bundle. As for the Nintendo Switch, it wasn’t that hard to find in stores.
