Members of the far-right group, the Proud Boys, will go to Washington, DC, to meet for President Donald Trump on January 6 – the day Congress is scheduled to meet to finalize the results of the 2020 presidential election.

The group’s leaders shared with their followers that they intend to attend the “incognito” rally and wearing “ALL in black”.

The president of the Proud Boys, Enrique Tarrio, revealed in Parler that “the Proud Boys will come out in record numbers on January 6, but this time with a twist.”

The difference, said Tarrio, is that they will give up the traditional uniform for something discreet.

He wrote: “We will not use our traditional Black and Yellow.”

The group’s standard uniform is black and yellow Fred Perry polo shirts, military armor and MAGA caps.

Instead, the president explained, “We can dress in BLACK for the occasion.”

Followers of the antifa, an anti-fascist movement, usually wear completely black clothes.

The Proud Boys intend to take other steps to mix with other protesters.

Tarrio wrote: “We will be incognito and spread out across central DC in smaller teams.”

Joe Biggs, a group organizer, confirmed the alleged plans in his Parler account.

In a video, he said, “We are not going to watch DC in color. We will be mixing like one of you. You will not see us. You will even think it is you.”

He continued: “We will smell like you, move like you and look like you. The only thing we will do is think like us! January 6 will be epic.”

The Proud Boys and the antifa clashed on several occasions. Last month, four people were stabbed and another was shot after the two groups clashed.

In 2018, there was a video of antifa protesters being beaten by members of the Proud Boys in New York City

The Proud Boys gained public attention after Trump called them by name in the first presidential debate.

They made headlines again after Tarrio took responsibility for setting a Black Lives Matter track on fire during a pro-Trump rally on December 12.

His plans to meet in support of Trump on January 6 worried some politicians.

DC Attorney General Karl Racine told CBS News: “My anxiety level is high. My preparation is even more intense than that.”

Racine said she fears that the Proud Boys “get into fights, create damage, damage property and then act in a very threatening way”.

Trump was accused of inciting right-wing groups to participate in violent protests on January 6.

A former aide to Vice President Mike Pence, Olivia Troye, said she feared there might be violence at this rally because “the president himself is encouraging this”.

Last month, President Donald Trump promised his supporters that there would be a “wild” demonstration in Washington, DC.

On Friday, the president reminded his followers that there would be a “GREAT Protest Rally” taking place in the capital from 11am
