Prosecutors claim that suspicious deaths in Sunport were admitted for the murder of a total of 15 people in NM

During a hearing on Friday, a city prosecutor said Lannon admitted to killing 11 drug traffickers in New Mexico.

A New Jersey judge said it was enough to keep him behind bars.

“If those are the words he gave in an interview about his own past conduct, I think it is relevant to what we can anticipate regarding future conduct,” said Superior Court judge Mary Beth Kramer.

Authorities did not comment on the new allegations of murder.

In addition, Lannon was only charged with the murder in New Jersey, but not for the bodies found at Albuquerque airport.

When asked about the case, officials at the Albuquerque Police Department did not respond.

However, the FBI said they were helping.

As KOB previously reported, Lannon is also accused of killing his ex-wife, Jennifer Lannon. She was among the bodies discovered at the airport earlier this month.

Her brother, Chris Whitman, told KOB4 that he started to worry when she disappeared in mid-January.

“It’s been a challenge,” said Whitman.

“Just receiving the news today that he confessed a total of 16 murders, is incomprehensible,” he added.

Lannon had five children, including three with Sean Lannon.

Whitman said the couple were still together, although they were divorced. He said he was shocked by the murder.

“They’ve been together for about 9 years and it’s just stunning because it’s someone I received at my house and we had Thanksgiving dinner together … and someone I know took my sister’s life and tragically 15 other people,” he added.

Whitman said there were some rumors about his sister’s past and admits that she had her challenges. However, he told KOB that she was better off and planned to return to New Jersey to be closer to the family.

“We have a big family and she always liked to plan big family trips to the Jersey shore or go to Disneyworld,” he said.

“I’m going to miss her laugh and her sense of humor,” added Whitman.

The family created a GoFundMe page to help with the costs of caring for their five children.
