Professional wrestling star Jon Huber, known as Brodie Lee in All Elite Wrestling and Luke Harper in WWE, died on Saturday. He was 41 years old.
All Elite Wrestling confirmed Huber’s death in a statement.
“The All Elite Wrestling family is heartbroken. In an industry full of good people, Jon Huber was exceptionally respected and loved in every way – a strong and captivating talent, a caring mentor and simply a very kind soul that totally contradicted your personality as Mr. Brodie Lee, “said the statement.
“Jon’s love for his wife Amanda and children Brodie and Nolan was evident to all of us who were lucky enough to spend time with him, and we send our love and support to his beautiful family, today and forever. Jon’s popularity between his colleagues and the influence in the wrestling world was worldwide and transcended AEW, so that loss will be felt by many for a long time. “

Huber’s wife Amanda wrote on Instagram that her husband died of a lung problem unrelated to COVID.
“I never wanted to write those words. My heart is broken. The world saw him as the incredible @brodielee (fka Luke Harper), but he was my best friend, my husband and the best father you would ever know. Without words you can express the love that I feel or how broken I am now. He spent surrounded by loved ones after a hard battle against a lung problem unrelated to Covid. @mayoclinic is literally the best team of doctors and nurses in the world that he surrounded with constant love, “he wrote she.
Taxes rained on Huber as soon as word of his death spread.
Huber, although he made waves on the independent circuit with Chikara and Ring of Honor, signed to WWE and was a member of the Wyatt family. He joined AEW earlier this year as “The Exalted” – a member of the Order of Darkness faction.
He was an AEW star and won the AEW TNT Championship in August.
