In his third professional game, Payton Pritchard he was perfect on the pitch in the Boston Celtics’ narrow loss to the Indiana Pacers. Pritchard hit all five shots, including three from a distance to finish with a new record of 13 points in the Celtics’ 108-107 loss to the Indiana Pacers.
With starter Kemba Walker wasting time, the recent first round draft choice played a big role outside the bench for Boston. Pritchard played 23 minutes for the Celtics and made the most of his time, tickling the tightrope on three occasions. Two of those trebles came in the first half, when Pritchard scored eight of his 13 points.
Despite the losing effort, Pritchard ended up with a plus-nine in the plus-minus. He also added two assists in the team’s defeat. Boston is now 1-2 in the youth season.

Third on Oregon’s all-time scoring list, Pritchard was named Pac-12 Player of the Year last season and may have passed Ron Lee to the tops of that list if the season had not ended prematurely due to the coronavirus. He ended his career with 1,938 points. Pritchard was then selected 26th overall by Boston.
He has played at least 20 minutes in two consecutive games. He played 25 in the team’s loss to Brooklyn on Friday. He scored seven points on that one.
Pritchard is not the only Duck that impresses in the NBA. Chris Boucher almost registered a triple-double on Saturday, while Dillon Brooks continues to start for the Memphis Grizzlies.
