Pringles launches Halo fries with taste of Halo Reach Moa Burgers

Microsoft has partnered with chip maker Pringles for a new potato chip flavor: Moa Burger. As in Moa, the non-flying bird native to the planet Reach (and also the name of an extinct bird species here on Earth), from Halo: Reach.

In Halo fiction, Moa was a source of food in Reach and was served in the form of a wing, nugget and hamburger. Pringles’ new Moa Burger aims to bring the flavor of a quadruple hamburger made from space birds, cheese, pickles, lettuce, onions and an unidentified sauce. They are artificially flavored, naturally.

Pringles’ Wavy Moa Burger chips are available for a limited time and are sold exclusively at Walmart. Presumably, this particular flavor was conceived when Halo Infinite It was going to be a 2020 release, but the “spiritual reboot” of the 343 Industries franchise is now slated to hit the Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Windows PC sometime in the fall of 2021.

Players looking to revisit the world of Reach, when it was full of Moa, can play Halo: Reach at the Halo: The Master Chief Collection. 343 added Bungie’s Halo prequel to the collection in December 2019.

Meanwhile, Halo fans can also consume Halo in liquid form, thanks to Monster Energy’s Halo Infinite cross-promotion.
