Prince Philip was taken to the hospital as a “precautionary measure” after feeling ill, the royal family confirmed. The 99-year-old Duke of Edinburgh was admitted to London’s King Edward VII Hospital last night on the advice of his doctor.

It is unclear exactly what the health problem is at this stage, but Buckingham Palace said that the head of royalty will likely remain in the hospital for a few days while undergoing medical observations.
