Prince Philip spends the third night in London hospital after being admitted for “precautionary measure”

Prince Philip spent the third night in a London hospital after being admitted earlier this week for feeling ill.

Britain’s 99-year-old husband, Queen Elizabeth II, was admitted to the private King Edward VII Hospital on Tuesday night. There were no reports of visitors arriving at the private hospital on Thursday.

The palace said that Philip’s admission was made on the advice of his doctor, and that he should remain there for a few days of “observation and rest”.

Philip’s disease is not believed to be related to COVID-19. Both the 94-year-old queen and Philip received their first dose of a coronavirus vaccine in early January.
