Prince Philip leaves the UK hospital after a month

Britain’s Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth II’s 99-year-old husband, left a hospital in London on Tuesday after heart surgery and 28 days of treatment – his longest stay.

Philip – who should turn 100 in June – was photographed looking pale and thin as he was taken away from the King Edward VII private hospital at 10:30 am

The hospital staff installed a white folding screen next to his BMW to protect him from view and dozens of police officers blocked the route, according to The London Times.

Philip was taken to the hospital in central London on February 16 as a “precautionary measure” and was treated for an infection.

He was later transferred to a hospital specializing in cardiac treatment, St. Bartholomew, where he underwent a “successful” cardiac operation, before returning to King Edward VII.

Philip must return to Windsor Castle, where he and the queen are staying in a so-called “HMS bubble” during the coronavirus pandemic. Buckingham Palace has yet to comment on the matter.

His illness is not related to the coronavirus, and he and the queen received the vaccine COVID-19 in January.

Philip’s stay in the hospital coincided with the monarchy in crisis because of the damaging claims made by his grandson, Prince Harry, and Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle.

The moment of the TV special generated outrage and calls for a postponement, since the real elderly man was still being treated in a hospital.

Philip is the oldest royal consort in British history, having married Princess Elizabeth in 1947. They have four children, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
