The remake had previously been scheduled for a March 18 release, for which it was postponed after plans for a January 2021 release.

Ubisoft first announced the Sands of Time Remake at its Ubisoft Forward event in September, confirming that it would be using the Assassin’s Creed Anvil engine and would see actor Yuri Lowenthal return as the Prince.
In December, Ubisoft announced the push for the January to March remake, citing the unpredictable development obstacles in the face of COVID-19 and its impact in 2020, saying “However, 2020 was a year like no other. Today we want to leave let us know that we are taking extra time to work on the game … We believe this is the right decision to ensure that we deliver a game that you will enjoy. “With this delay, there is no new release date or window, but Ubisoft says it will keep players “informed of progress”.IGN’s original review, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, called the game “a must-have game – a classic that will soon become worthy of a permanent place in its collection”.
The remake is scheduled to cost $ 39.99 and will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC through the Epic Games Store, the Ubisoft store on Windows and UPlay +. And there are still no announced plans for the PS5 or Xbox Series X versions of the game, but it can be played on the next generation console through backward compatibility.
