Prince Harry and Prince William are on their way to restore their relationship as brothers.
A source told Us Weekly on Wednesday that British royalty has made progress to heal its alleged division, but it still has a long way to go.
“William and Harry’s rush was very real, very ugly and incredibly intense,” said the source. “They came to a halt, there was so much mud under the bridge and many people thought their feud was beyond repair.”
Harry, 36, confirmed that he and his older brother, 38, were “on different paths” in 2019. Things allegedly escalated when Harry and his wife Meghan Markle announced in early 2020 that they were taking a “step back” as senior members of the British royal family.

“It was certainly a roller coaster ride for everyone involved, especially the brothers, who now promise to let things get out of hand in the future and have learned a lot from this difficult experience,” explained the source.
The source also insisted that there was “a lot of joy” on the part of the family, especially his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, while working for reconciliation.
“[William and Harry] are looking forward to spending time together in person when it’s safe to travel, “said the source, adding that they are likely to meet in England.

Rumors of an alleged real rivalry surfaced in 2019, when British bestselling author Katie Nicholl stated that since Markle, 39, and Harry announced their engagement in 2017, William has become increasingly concerned about his brother and his turbulent romance with the American actress.
“William was very concerned that the relationship had changed so quickly,” said Nicholl in the TLC documentary “Kate V. Meghan: Princesses at War?” “And being close to Harry, you know, probably the only person close enough to say to Harry, ‘This seems to be happening fast. Are you sure?’ And I think that what meant well-intentioned brotherly advice just pissed Harry off. “
“Harry is extremely protective of Meghan,” continued Nicholl. “He saw it as a criticism, he interpreted it as if his brother was not really behind this marriage, this union. And I don’t think things have been going well since then.”

“Part of that role and part of that work, that family, being under pressure that is under pressure, things inevitably happen,” he said at the time. “But look, we are brothers, we will always be brothers. William saw Meghan as a woman who created her own celebrity and wealth in the process. The royal family, on the other hand, is dedicated to the representation of values.
“Royals are expected to know their place,” Lacey continued. “And Harry, of course, was supposed to marry a nice girl named Henrietta or Gabriella who lived in the provinces of Britain in the countryside and settle down. But Meghan and Harry made it clear that they wanted to do much more than that. And let’s just to say that there are things you can and cannot do when it comes to managing the royal family and what it represents. “

Lacey said that although William and Harry “talk on the phone from time to time,” it will take a while for the relationship to heal.
“I think it would always have happened that Meghan and Harry would live on the other side of the world,” he explained. “I think Meghan and Harry will remain based in North America. Unless the brothers find a way to reconcile, they will have to go their separate ways and maintain mutual respect for each other.”
“We know that in July 2021, the two brothers pledged to be in Kensington Gardens for the inauguration of the statue dedicated to their late mother, Princess Diana,” he said. “The world will then judge. But there is a lot of work to be done.”
