Prince Harry, Prince William will face challenges in reconciliation, the source says: ‘A lot has happened’

EXCLUSIVE: A real documentary filmmaker says it will take a while for Prince Harry and Prince William to reconcile their differences.

On Sunday, CBS aired a two-hour interview that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had with Oprah Winfrey. During the television session, Harry, 36, revealed that his relationship with his father, Prince Charles, 72, as well as with his older brother, 38, had broken up.

Meghan Markle, 39, also described feeling so isolated and miserable within the royal family that she had thoughts of suicide. The Duchess of Sussex also claimed that a member of the royal family had “concerns” about the skin color of her unborn child.

The family member was not Queen Elizabeth II or Prince Philip, according to Harry, generating a wave of speculation about who it might be.

“I think it is incredibly difficult for the brothers to reconcile their differences now, especially after the interview,” Nick Bullen told Fox News. “A lot has happened. But I think they will find a way to be together for the inauguration of the mother statue on July 1, which would have been her 60th birthday. And the two children wanted this inauguration of the statute to happen.

“Both would like to honor her and both have pledged to do so,” shared Bullen. “And the plan continues. What will happen now is unknown, but I imagine they will be together on the first of July.”

Bullen is a co-founder and editor-in-chief of True Royalty TV. The award-winning documentary maker has been making shows about the royal family for almost 20 years and has worked closely with Charles for eight years.

During the narration, the couple announced that they were expecting a baby girl to be born this summer. It is not known whether Markle will be present at the opening.

But there is no doubt that the relationship between princes is strained. On Thursday, William insisted that his family is not racist. He was the first member of British royalty to speak about accusations of intolerance made by his younger brother and his sister-in-law.

William made the comments in response to questions asked to him by reporters during a visit to a school in East London. Although members of the royal family often ignore these questions, William took the opportunity to address the explosive claims that rocked the monarchy.

“We are not a racist family,” said William as his wife Kate Middleton walked beside him.

“You know, if Diana was alive, she would probably hit their heads and say, ‘Solve this,'” said Bullen. “So I have no doubt that they will sort things out somehow in time for the inauguration in honor of your mother.”

The interview revealed tensions between the brothers, who had long been seen as close and who supported each other after Princess Diana’s death in 1997.

When asked about his relationship with William, Harry replied, “Time heals all things, I hope.”

On Thursday, William said he had not yet spoken to Harry since the interview, “but I will.”

Thirty-six hours after the interview aired, Buckingham Palace issued a 60-word statement on behalf of Elizabeth, 94.

“The whole family is sad to hear how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan,” said a statement sent to Fox News on Tuesday.

“The issues raised, particularly those of race, are of concern,” the statement continued. “Although some memories may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be treated by the family in particular. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be very dear members of the family.”

Representatives of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made no comment when contacted by Fox News. A representative for William did not immediately respond to Fox News’s request for comment.

Harry told Winfrey that the royal family cut him off in early 2020 after announcing plans to step aside from his roles. But he was able to guarantee the safety of his family because of the money his late mother, Princess Diana, left behind.

He said his relationship with Charles was affected. He even noticed that the patriarch stopped answering his calls.

“There is a lot to work on there,” said Harry of his relationship with his father. “I feel very disappointed. He went through something similar. He knows what pain is. And Archie is his grandson. I will always love him, but a lot of hurt has happened.”

Harry disputed the rumors that he intentionally surprised the queen with his decision to separate. He suspected that the rumors came from the institution.

“I never surprised my grandmother,” said Harry. “I have a lot of respect for her.”

The interview was seen by almost 50 million people worldwide.

After Harry and Markle were married in May 2018 at Windsor Castle, the royal family seemed to welcome the Duchess of Sussex, a glamorous former TV star. The pair was seen as a new youthful face for the monarchy of an increasingly multicultural nation.

It didn’t take long for the fairy tale to unravel.
