It is Mother’s Day in the UK, and although he currently resides across the lake, Prince Harry has arranged for flowers to be placed at Princess Diana’s grave to honor his late mother.

According Harper’s Bazaar real editor Omid Scobie, an official spokesman confirmed that the Duke of Sussex, who was just 12 when his mother died in 1997, had a bouquet of flowers placed on Diana’s final resting place at the Spencer family estate in Althorp, Northamptonshire, England . Harry is living in California with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their 22-month-old son, Archie. The couple is also expecting a baby girl in the coming months.

Harry’s brother, Prince William, also paid tribute to the late Diana, sharing photos of handmade cards of his three children, Prince George, 7, Princess Charlotte, 5, and Prince Louis, 2, made in honor of his ” grandmother “in a post on the official Kensington Royal account.

“This year, Mother’s Day will be different again. Many of us will be separated from our loved ones, but looking forward to a not-too-distant future in which we will be able to hug our mother again ”, the caption said. “But for those who are going through mourning, today it can be particularly challenging.

“Every year on Mother’s Day, George, Charlotte and Louis make cards in honor of their grandmother, Diana, for William,” continued the post. “Whatever your circumstances, we are thinking of you this Mother’s Day.”

The three children’s cards featured works of art, including a scenic drawing by George and drawings of hearts by Charlotte and Louis. The two eldest sons also wrote notes to their paternal grandmother.

“Dear Grandma Diana, Happy and Happy Mother’s Day,” wrote George. “I love you very much and I think about you always. Sending a lot of love.”

“I’m thinking of you on Mother’s Day. I love you very much,” wrote Charlotte. “Daddy is missing you. A lot of love.”

In last week’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, Harry reflected on how his mother would feel about him getting away from the royal family. Harry said that while his mother “would be very angry with the result of this”, he believed that “in the end, all she ever wanted is for us to be happy”.
