Prince Charles wanted to provide a point-to-point rebuttal for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s bomb telling everything about Oprah Winfrey – but the royal family decided not to get into an “eye for an eye”.
The Prince of Wales is upset by Harry’s comments during the interview in which he stated that his father stopped taking his calls before Megxit, Sun reported.
And Charles, 72, is also “deeply” concerned by the claim that the royal family discussed “how” the skin of the couple’s son, Archie, would be when he was born.
“There were different reactions when the palace was deciding what to do,” said a source to the Sun. “Um, to take the Queen’s point of view, to issue a silent statement saying that we are unhappy to know that they were unhappy.
“But Prince Charles wanted to refute, point by point, the claims made,” said the source, adding that the royal family decided against it.
In her 64-word statement, the Queen said: “The whole family is saddened to learn the extent to which the past few years have been challenging for Harry and Meghan.
“The issues raised, especially regarding race, are worrisome. Although some memories may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be taken care of by the family in particular, ”she added.
Charles was caught in a difficult situation this week during a visit to a distribution site for the COVID-19 vaccine, where he was asked if he had attended the interview and, if so, what he thought of her.
The royal simply laughed and left the facility.
In the conversation with Oprah, Harry stated that his father had stopped answering his calls for a while.
“When we were in Canada, I had three conversations with my grandmother and two conversations with my father, before he stopped taking my calls,” said the 36-year-old man.
“At this point, I decided to solve the problem on my own. I need to do this for my family. I have to do something for my own mental health, for my wife and for Archie, ”he added.
