Prince Charles defended by gospel choir conductor after allegations of real racism

Prince Charles was defended this week after accusations that someone at Buckingham Palace made racist comments about his grandson Archie before he was born, according to a report.

Karen Gibson, founder of Kingdom Choir – who was selected by Prince Charles to sing at the wedding of her son, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in 2018 – said Prince Charles has since “gone out of his way” to congratulate the black chorus gospel about his future success, including a recording contract with Sony Music.

Prince Harry, 36, and Meghan Markle, 39, in a TV interview with Oprah Winfrey that aired on Sunday, made the explosive claim that someone at the palace had an argument with Harry about the potential skin color of his Archie’s son during the Duchess’s pregnancy because Markle is black.

Harry confirmed that the discussion had taken place, but refused to elaborate further or say who made the comments.

He said that if the person was identified: “I think that would be very harmful to him”.

Winfrey later revealed that Harry told her that neither Queen Elizabeth, 94, nor Prince Phillip, 99, had made the comments, causing some to speculate that it may have been Prince Charles, 72.

But Gibson told TMZ that Charles seemed “very sincere” in his invitation and was “courteous” in every interaction with her, leading her to doubt that he would make racist comments about Archie’s unborn baby skin tone.

“Apparently [The Kingdom Choir] it was Charles’s choice, apparently Charles recommended them to Harry and Meghan, which surprised me, “said real podcaster Emily Andrews in 2018, according to Town and Country magazine.” I was told this by one of Charles’s team members yesterday. “

Gibson was also invited to a party in the garden of Buckingham Palace a few weeks after the wedding, where she brought her mother as a guest and they talked to Prince Charles for a few minutes, reported Town and Country.

Buckingham Palace issued a statement on the allegations “While some memories may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be treated by the family in particular,” the statement said. “Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be very dear family members.”

While Prince Charles ignored questions about reporters’ allegations of racism this week, his son, Prince William, told reporters that royalty “is not much of a racist family”.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle drew more than 17 million viewers to their prime time account with Winfrey last weekend.

Nearly 2 billion viewers around the world heard the Kingdom Chorus sing their gospel version of “Stand By Me” during the royal wedding at Windsor Castle nearly three years ago, according to CBS News.
